This exhibit is open to all Print Group members and all artists in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region. Artists must be able to hand deliver accepted work to PCA.
Work submitted must be original. Work should either be created specifically for this exhibition or suited to the theme. Work should have been produced within the last two years and not exhibited at the PCA or another venue within 150 miles of Pittsburgh.
This exhibition allows artists an opportunity to explore Recreation/ Renewal/ Rebirth on a variety of levels.
The artist may create a second life for materials that were previously discarded, or had a previous life in nature, as in the case of wood, stone, metals, or other natural materials.
This theme may speak to the inner life of the artist, who can give form to his or her own personal experience of transformation or rebirthing in any number of aspects of life.
This exhibition is open to partnerships in which artists can collaborate if they choose to do so; partnerships between fiber artists and photographers are an encouraged possibility, but not required for consideration.
Work submitted should be fiber in content or employ a fiber-related technique. Work can be two or three-dimensional and must be exhibit ready (including all mounting hardware). Work must be original and new, created within the past three years, and not exhibited previously at the PCA or within a 150-mile radius of Pittsburgh.
