gallery attending, exhibitions/installation, the PCA shop, special events, and administrative help.
Day and evening opportunities available. College credit is available upon request.
Qualifications: Must be reliable, mature, and able to handle
responsibility with enthusiasm. Opportunities available from weekly to monthly.

Finance Dept. Assistant Intern
The Finance Department at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is seeking
an intern to assist with department operations including accounts payable,
cash receipts, and filing.
Center Operations
Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is seeking interns and volunteers to
assist in daily operations such as greeting and directing museum
visitors and guests during daily hours as well as special events and programs,
and assisting visitors with admissions and general exhibition inquiries.
This person will work directly with administrative staff at the
Center on special projects such as letter correspondence, file maintenance
and facilities management. The intern will also assist the Exhibition
Dept. during show installation.
Artist/Installation Assistant (dependent on exhibition schedule)
The Exhibition Department is seeking interns and volunteers to assist exhibiting
artists and the Center curator in installation and removal of artwork.
Includes a variety of artistic and manual labor involved in
hanging artwork and installation. Studio art and/or carpentry experience
a plus.
Facilities Maintenance
Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is seeking an intern/volunteer to assist
in the general maintenance of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts
school and gallery building. Tasks include painting, moving equipment
and furniture, and general building maintenance work.
Intructor Position: Filmmakers at the Center
Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is seeking an instructor for the Introduction to Web Design class offered by its’ Filmmakers at the Center program. Successful applicants will have the ability to teach web design to beginners employing a non-technical, visually creative approach. 1. Cleaning bathrooms
2. Cleaning and organizing studios
3. Emptying and disposing of rubbish
4. Moving tables and chairs
5. Cleaning windows
6. Vacuuming
7. Restocking janitorial supplies
8. Replacing lights/adjusting lighting
9. Sweeping halls/floors/stairs
10. Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
3-4 WORK DAYS A WEEK. 15 HOURS TOTAL. MINIMUM WAGE 7.15/HR
